Saber and Focus' Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 is out now, and if you've already picked it up and played all the way through to the credits sequence, you may notice a rather lovely and unexpected tribute nestled there.
As spotted by Redditor Tiucaner, the credits feature an "In Memoriam" section, which pays tribute to John "TotalBiscuit" Bain. The section also seemingly features several other staffers who died during the game's production, including casting and voice director Roman Palmov and technical writer Andrey Kozyrev, among others.
Just in case you need a reminder, TotalBiscuit, also known as The Cynical Brit, was a very well-known figure within the gaming industry. He's perhaps best known for his YouTube channel, where he drew attention to lesser-known indie games, and the Co-Optional Podcast, on which he served as one of the hosts.
Unfortunately, in 2014, Bain was diagnosed with cancer, undergoing treatment that would ultimately prove unsuccessful. In 2015, Bain's cancer was sadly deemed inoperable, and he was given around two to three years to live.
