Team Asobi's full-scale Astro Bot title is finally here, and it is as much a celebration of all things PlayStation as it is a way to detect whether or not your DualSense controllers are up to par.
This is not just a Greatest Hits album. This is Sony's best game in years.
That's because built into the game is a handy way to determine whether your DualSense has stick drift.
No, we're not joking.
The ability to test whether a DualSense has stick drift without the use of any computer program was first spotted on Twitter via an aspiring game developer. That gamer noted how Astro's Playroom, the packed-in tech demo on the PlayStation 5, is a great way to test out a DualSense.
Then, our own James Troughton discovered on their own that Astro Bot, Friday's latest release, also has that same handy feature. And, yes, their controller is a victim of massive stick drift.

Of course, it's highly unlikely that Team Asobi or Sony intended for the feature to be a way to test out whether a DualSense is working as intended, but it's pretty neat regardless.
