PlayerUknown's Battlegrounds is working hard to catch up to the juggernaut that is Fortnite. In a new announcement on the PUBG Steam page, developers have announced the first-ever eSports tournament coming to Berlin, Germany in July 2018.

The PUBG Global Invitational will take place from July 25th through July 29th and see twenty "top professional PUBG teams" from around the world taking part in an effort to take home a share of the $2 million in prizes up for grabs. Ticket prices, regional qualifiers and the specific venue will be revealed at a later date.

Each region (EU, NA, Asia, CIS, Korea, China, Japan, SA/LA, Oceania, MENA) will have teams representing them making this a truly global experience.
