Star Wars Outlaws' "Unfair" Insta-Fail Stealth Sections Are Getting Patched

Star Wars Outlaws' creative director, Julian Gerighty, has admitted that the early game insta-fail stealth sections are "unfair" and revealed that a patch is on the way to make them more forgiving.

One of the main things that separates Star Wars Outlaws from other recent games in the franchise is that it has you playing as a Force-less scoundrel instead of a lightsaber-wielding Jedi like Cal Kestis. It shouldn't come as a surprise, then, that Kay Vess is much less of a powerhouse and has to rely on her wits and cunning to get out of sticky situations.

Massive Entertainment has upped the Ubisoft standard.

While it was obvious from the get-go that Outlaws would be offering a different kind of Star Wars experience, a lot of players weren't expecting stealth to be such a big part of the main gameplay loop. That wouldn't be such a problem if it wasn't for the brutal insta-fail sections that are littered throughout the first few hours of Outlaws and punish players before they've even learned the ropes.
