We just got some new details on Starfield's upcoming expansion, Shattered Space, confirming that it will add 50 new locations to the game. They will be added to Starfield alongside new weapons and enemies, as Shattered Space gives players a reason to return to Bethesda's space-faring RPG after beating the base game offerings.
These new locations will be available on the new planet of Va'ruun'kai, suggesting that they will be a lot more grouped together and detailed than what we saw in the base game. In any case, having them all available on a single planet will make for a very different experience, with less focus on galaxy traversal, and more time spent on this single planet.
Bethesda shared these new details about Shattered Space to mark Starfield's first anniversary. It's now been a year since we first set off to explore the studio's latest RPG, and its first new IP for 25 years.
The game has certainly found its fans, but it also found itself under a much more critical eye than previous Bethesda releases. Despite this, the studio is ploughing ahead with plans to support the game, with Shattered Space being the first planned expansion.
