Project Arroyo is a fan-led remake of Fallout 2, transforming the original '90s isometric cRPG into the style of the modern Bethesda games.
It has been making steady progress over the last year, recently revealing its rendition of the original Pip-Boy, but now it's broaching the city of San Francisco with an early look at the game's nuclear-powered ESS Quetzel spaceship.
It's an incredibly faithful redesign thus far, capturing the essence of the original but bringing it into the art style of Fallout 4. You can see it in the tweet embedded below from project lead Damion Daponte.
In Fallout 2, you can find the Quetzel on the Golden Gate Bridge in disrepair. The Hubologists want to fly the ship and escape the wasteland, so they ask you to find the missing parts — a rocket booster and an external fuel tank.
The Hubologists are a religious cult based on Scientology that was founded before the Great War by sci-fi author Dick Hubbell, and we even meet them in the Fallout 4 DLC Nuka-World.
