Metal Gear Solid Master Collection: Volume 2 has been an open secret for quite a while. Just the fact that the previous game was called Volume 1 hinted that Konami had plans to release more collections, and the developer has been dropping hints about its existence ever since the first game dropped last year, teasing fans about what games could be included.
However, it seems as though plenty of work is still to be done before Konami is ready to release Volume 2, as explained in the developer's latest episode of the Metal Gear - Production Hotline YouTube series. In the video, Konami explains that it's still going to be a little while before it gets a "clear picture" of what the collection will look like and what games will be included, claiming that development this time around is a lot trickier.
