Elden Ring’s 1.14 Patch Nerfs Final Boss’s Damage & Makes It Possible to See What’s Going

Promised Consort Radahn has now been added to the list of “bosses people will brag about beating before they were nerfed”, alongside Baltheus, Elden Beast, and funnily enough, Starscourge Radahn. In today’s patch, FromSoft has nerfed Shadow of the Erdtree’s final boss in a number of ways, including adjustments to attack timings, visibility, damage. He also won’t immediately try to clap you when you enter the arena, either. Reddit user ChiefLeef22 has already put up a great video demonstrating the changes.

Radahn isn’t the only one recieving nerfs this patch — Backhand Blades PvP strength has been brought down, along with the Spear and the Pata. The Scattershot Throw and Discus Hurl ranged skills have been similarly nerfed, as has Weed Cutter. A number of incantations got buffed as well.

Excitingly, initial heavy attacks for many weapon types have been buffed, which is welcome news for Great Sword users struggling to find attack windows with their beloved R2. A few other skills and weapon attacks have had their attack speed increased as well — there seems to be a general shift towards speeding up the player, perhaps in response to the complaints from many that it feels like the enemies...
