Flappy Bird Is Returning After A Decade Following Trademark Takeover

If you owned a mobile phone back in 2013, chances are you had Flappy Bird installed. It was a viral sensation at the time, covered by practically every popular online content creator out there, and even some news channels. However, its popularity was pretty short-lived, as creator Dong Nguyen delisted the game in February 2014 after claiming that its runaway success was ruining his "simple life."

Ever since, Flappy Bird has been unavailable to download, and phones that still had the game installed became collectors items. However, over a decade after the game was originally delisted, Flappy Bird is making a grand comeback, returning to both iPhone and Android devices at some point in the near future. It appears that this version of Flappy Bird is a little more complex than the original. While the original game had you simply jumping between pipes as a yellow bird, this version appears to let you customize your bird, and it even has a hub world which you can use to travel to different worlds, most likely filled with different levels.
