In case you missed it, Days Gone is back in the public discourse for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you see things, it has nothing to do with a sequel game or a live-action adaptation.
Instead, Days Gone became a topic of discussion once more after its ex-director, John Garvin, took to social media to criticize the game's protagonist, Deacon St. John, for being in Team Asobi's Astro Bot. Garvin called it "sad," and even went as far as to criticize his former studio for failing to protect its legacy.
That wasn't it, either. Because in a follow-up Tweet, Garvin asserted that Deacon became a "cartoon schill" for a "small game." However, not everyone at Bend or involved with Days Gone shared the same mindset as Garvin.
Few games are as meta as the Astro Bot games, and that's something to be celebrated!
Taking to Twitter, Bend Studio's official account shared a cute photo of the Deacon Bot with a caption detailing how much fun the studio has had going through the recently released platformer.
The Tweet, of course, doesn't reference Garvin by name, nor does it respond directly...
