Dragon Age's hair options have always been lacking. The longest hair options have never really given us anything that goes past our shoulders, and even then, it acted a bit like LEGO hair, always staying in place.
Finally, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is not only giving us these long sought-after longer hair options, but also has actual hair physics. As spotted in IGN's preview of the game, the player character's hair flows seamlessly as they get into a bar fight, with physics that would be impressive in any release, not just a Dragon Age game.
As many have pointed out, the most impressive thing about this is that we haven't seen any clipping so far. Very few games with multiple hair options have managed that before, so if The Veilguard can make that work with all of the variety it offers, that would be a truly miraculous feat.
It isn't just Dragon Age that's had a thing against long hair - Mass Effect 's offerings in the original trilogy were even worse. Granted, Shepard was in the military. But surely there were bigger issues at play than enforcing Alliance uniform regulations?
