Rockstar is offering its Red Dead Redemption 2 players an amazing new way to interact with their game through the use of the official companion app. Most notably, players will be able to keep close tabs on the map -- which is HUGE -- via the app. This means that players can "zoom in, set waypoints or mark areas of interest in real time" on the app rather than constantly shifting menus in game.
Additionally, players can opt to remove the HUD completely and track all game elements in the app rather than in the game.
The app will be available on October 26th (the same day as RDR2) for both iOS and Android mobile devices.
