Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is nearing a decade since its 2016 launch for the PlayStation 4. Yes, you read that right. It's been nearly a decade since Nathan Drake's epic story came to a fitting conclusion.
And in that near decade since release, few things have come as close to replicating Naughty Dog's blend of action, adventure, platforming, gunplay, puzzles and more. It turns out, that mish-mash of genres is something that is sorely missed, as evidenced by a massive Reddit thread titled, "This generation desperately needs its own Uncharted."
The thread, which has over 4,000 upvotes and nearly 1,500 comments at the time of publication, laments the lack of Uncharted, or an Uncharted-like game on the PS5.
The rumored remake of Nathan Drake's original adventure would spell good fortune for fans.
"Definitely agree, Last of Us is great but so depressing," one user wrote. "Uncharted was lighthearted fun and adventure, sometimes you just need that, especially with PS5 graphics."
