Capcom has released a new Dragon's Dogma 2 update, and this one's aimed at those who've been finding the base game a little too tricky, although it's also bringing new animations and lots more.
Although previous updates have been aimed at altering game mechanics and introducing extra options, this one's bringing a whole new difficulty mode with it, and it should make your time adventuring in the game's open world a bit easier.
Casual Mode introduces a host of modifiers designed to make Dragon's Dogma 2 a bit less taxing. Ferrystones cost less, for instance, as do inn fees, and it's more difficult for your character to become encumbered with Heavy or Very Heavy weight.
You'll also use less stamina when you dash outside of combat, and your loss gauge won't go up if you die and choose to load from your last saved game.
What's more, dragonsplague, which is arguably one of Dragon's Dogma 2's most controversial mechanics, will now be a bit easier to manage; pawns won't suffer a "devastating calamity" when recovering from it, even if the symptoms become terminal.
