Wizards of the Coast has announced Chucky will be joining Magic: The Gathering’s upcoming horror-themed Duskmourn set for the spooky season. The murderous doll hails from the Child’s Play horror franchise created by Don Mancini, and the slasher icon joins a Ghostbusters collaboration with Magic: The Gathering for Halloween.
Created by Richard Garfield, the tabletop and digital collectible card game was first released in 1993 as the very first trading card game. The series has released over 100 sets in three decades, and the IP continues to grow and gain new fans from crossovers with Fallout, Jurassic World, and The Lord of the Rings. However, Magic: The Gathering’s owner Hasbro has recently been under fire for AI usage in Wizards of the Coast products, and fans are understandably concerned.

Chucky is the latest crossover with Magic: The Gathering as part of a Secret Lair drop being added to the horror-themed set.
