Earlier this month, it was claimed by a staff writer at GTABase that Grand Theft Auto 6 had already been internally delayed. Instead of launching in the intended Fall 2025 release window, this writer claimed that the game had been pushed back to early/mid 2026 and suggested that he'd been talking to reputable industry insiders like Bloomberg's Jason Schreier about the full story.

We've yet to hear that full story, but this news was enough to send excited GTA fans into meltdown.
