BattleState Games has published its preliminary roadmap for Escape From Tarkov and Escape From Tarkov: Arena until the end of 2024.

The biggest item on the list is the transition to the Unity 2022 engine. Players are also happy to see long-awaited community pitches turned into reality.

Arena has just received patch 0.2.1.0, with a free weekend running until September 23, while Escape From Tarkov sits on version 0.15.0.3 following the August wipe.

EFT: Arena Patch 0.2.2.0

The next Arena patch should introduce new game modes. These should be the Overrun cooperative tower defense mode for five players and the Shootout Tournament round-robin for four to six teams.

Patch 0.2.2.0 should also bring various technical and quality-of-life improvements, a new map, and an unspecified high-explosive grenade.

EFT: Arena Patch 0.2.3.0

The only item in the 0.2.3.0 plan is synchronization between Escape From Tarkov and EFT: Arena, which is a big deal.

Since EFT received patch 0.15.0.0, players have had major struggles syncing their accounts, leading to frustrating bugs like missing levels.
