While Microsoft'sXbox will be eschewing the recent trend of mid-generation refreshes, unlike its competitor Sony is doing with the recently announced PlayStation 5 Pro, it seems like Xbox is gearing up for a major splash come the next console generation.
Xbox isn’t doing too hot right now. In fact, it hasn’t been for a while. Was the console's rise just a stroke of luck in the form of Halo?
That splash could include a dedicated handheld on top of a massive hardware upgrade. Oh, and it could happen sooner than most would think.
Information comes by way of Windows Central's Jez Corden, a reliable industry figure, who shared some interesting nuggets in an overall recap of Microsoft's interview with License Global magazine.
As part of that recap, Corden relayed the following:
