In the next chapter of strange video game crossovers, Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest football players of all time, will seemingly be a character in SNK's upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves fighting game.

The legendary Portuguese football icon took to Twitter early on Saturday to share a teaser of his involvement in the fighting game. That teaser specifically takes place on a football pitch, references Ronaldo's "CR7" moniker and has the tagline, "A Legendary Player Joins A Legendary Game."

That teaser would seemingly make Ronaldo's involvement with the game more than just a one-time advertisement.
On the surface, Ronaldo in an SNK fighting game sounds like the strangest type of collaboration one could even think of. It's certainly up there with PlayStation'sUncharted 3 collaborating with U.S.-based sandwich chain Subway, or Death Stranding partnering with Monster energy drinks.
