Anthem's first closed alpha event coming next week - here's how to join

on | OpenCritic

EA and BioWare have announced that the very first closed alpha event for Anthem will be taking place on December 8th and December 9th. Players on PC, XBox One and PlayStation 4 are eligible to register to be selected as a tester. The cool part is that the closed alpha is not dependent on pre-ordering Anthem in order to be considered.

During the testing event, players will be actively testing certain components of the game, but need to be aware that changes may be made "on the fly". "These community Playtests are more limited than what we want to share in the pre-launch demos. All of these factors combined mean that we're making access to our Playtests limited, which is where the "closed" part of the name comes from." the EA support site reads.

The event will take place across a number of sessions throughout the two days. Players will be informed when servers will be up and running for testing purposes.

Great...so how do I sign up?

Players interested in testing Anthem will need to head to the EA Community Playtesting site and sign in to their EA account. Once there, choose a platform and "when you want to play". Click submit and it's done, though there's no selection guarantee. The event is being offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
