Publisher Team17 and developer The Game Kitchen have announced that a major Blasphemous 2 DLC expansion is coming next month, and that a free update will be released alongside said expansion.
Mea Culpa will bring new zones, new bosses, and a brand new alternative ending to Blasphemous 2, and it's launching, appropriately enough, on October 31st. Hopefully, you'll be able to find enough time to put down Dragon Age: The Veilguard to check it out.
In total, you can look forward to two new zones and two new bosses in Mea Culpa, as well as four new NPC quests. A new weapon (presumably the Mea Culpa of the title, which was the Penitent One's sword in the first game) will also be added in the DLC.
As well as Mea Culpa, a free update is also on its way to Blasphemous 2, and it'll launch on the same day as the DLC.
The True Torment Update brings a number of improvements to Blasphemous 2, including a New Game Plus mode, a "host of upgrades for the Penitent One", and a ton of quality-of-life improvements.
You can also expect expansions to the Choir of Thorns, Sunken Cathedral,...
