During The Game Awards 2018 last night, Ubisoft unveiled details about its next game in the Far Cry series. Called Far Cry New Dawn, the PC, PlayStation 4 and XBox One game is a standalone title that is set seventeen years after the events of Far Cry 5. It is set in a post-apocalyptic world and sees players taking on the role of the leader of a band of cooperative survivors trying to survive mutated creatures and bands of marauders. There is even a tiny glimpse of Far Cry 5's antagonist Joseph Seed.
Polygon is reporting that Amazon already has Far Cry New Dawn up for preorder for $39.99 with a release date of February 15, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and XBox One.
