Dragon Age: The Veilguard is currently not available to pre-order in certain countries, and fans are worried that they may not be able to purchase The Veilguard legitimately.
There are concerns among Dragon Age fans, such as those expressed in a Reddit thread by user Muted-Picture-7013, that The Veilguard is not currently available to pre-order in certain regions. Anecdotally, fans have reported the game not being available in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and India. According to SteamDB data, the game is also not listed in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Russia.
There were fears that the situation was the same in Turkey, but the game has since been listed in that country.
This isn't a first for BioWare, as Dragon Age: Inquisition had a similar controversy where the game was not released because of LGBT+ sex scenes and/or excessive nudity in several countries, one of which was India.
This hasn't been consistently applied, as Mass Effect 3 and even Baldur's Gate 3 which both feature same-sex scenes are available in several of these countries. This has raised the question of why Electronic Arts and BioWare have not released an official statement on The Veilguard's availability...
