The much-awaited update to the Ghost of Tsushima franchise is finally here, and it takes us 300 years into the future from the events of the first game.
Revealed for the first time on PlayStation's State of Play yesterday, Ghost of Yotei is the next installment in the franchise being developed by Sucker Punch Productions.

First noted by The New York Times in an interview with the creative directors of Ghost of Tsushima, the upcoming game officially marks the beginning of a franchise that will soon be filled with a movie adaptation we already know about and other spin-offs.
Bearing this statement in mind, Ghost of Yotei might be considered a spin-off, and it is very likely that a continuation of Jin Sakai's story will still be on the table and may be picked up later.
