One of the first enemies you come across in Dark Souls 2 is a big naked ogre. Its signature attack? Slamming down on you with its derrière. You find one before you even make your character, and two along the tutorial path guarding a coffin that changes your gender.
What if you could flip the script and play as the ogre? Thanks to the Debug Manager mod, now you can.
You could've at least picked a different font, guys.
As shown off by YouTuber Illusory Wall, you can use this mod to take over enemies near your character. Naturally, they piloted the ogre in Things Betwixt, ground pounding with those flabby grey cheeks.
Playing through one of these games as an enemy sounds like an incredibly exciting challenge run — just imagine an ogre versus the Rotten — but there's one major problem.
As explained by Illusory Wall, the mod allows you to take control of enemies near the player, temporarily. So, if you stray too far, you'll lose control, which means that you can't drag the ogre all the way from Majula to the Iron Keep.
Perhaps we'll see modders rise to the challenge and make enemies fully playable, but for...
