Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is set to launch in 2025, but we still don't know when. Now, Hideo Kojima says he can't share a specific release date due to "unforeseen circumstances", but reaffirms that the sequel will be with us at some point next year.
As reported by VGC, this comes from the Death Stranding showcase at Tokyo Game Show. Here, we got a new look at the long-awaited sequel, as well as this update on its release date.
"The release date has already been decided, and I’m currently working on it in preparation for that," says Kojima. “Since we are talking about 2025, it will be released next year, so we will announce it at some point next year.
"But, due to some unforeseen circumstances, we cannot announce it today," he continues, without elaborating on what these circumstances are.
