The much-anticipated expansion to one of Bethesda's largest projects, Starfield, is finally here, and it brings with itself an advisory before you jump right in.
Bringing in a new planet called Va'ruun'kai, with 50 brand-new locations and much more new content, the Shattered Space DLC is only for those who are over level 35 and above, or so Tim Lamb recommends in an interview via Gamereactor.
It is not a new sight in the industry to set a few pre-requisites in place to let the player get the most out of a DLC. The most recent example of the same would be Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, which required players to defeat 2 main bosses in order to finally step into the Realm of Shadow.
However, when it comes to Starfield: Shattered Space, the studio just suggests a minimum level of progression, still allowing players to jump into the expansion right away if they wish to do so.
The Shattered Space DLC, which was included for free with the purchase of Starfield's Premium and Constellation editions, introduces new alien creatures and other foes and friends to interact with, along with new forms of combat.
