Nintendo has a new President as Kimishima retires

Current President Tatsumi Kimishima is retiring after two-and-half years in the job. He originally filled in after the unexpected death of Satoru Iwata.

Mr. Kimishima, who is 68, has been officially replaced by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company board member Shuntaro Furukawa, age 46. It was also announced that the Nintendo of Europe head Satoru Shibata, is leaving his post and headed back to the Japan Headquarters in a more senior role.

This news was announced during the most recent earnings call where Nintendo highlighted that it's predicting to ship nearly 40 million Switch units by March 2019. From the Bloomberg story:

“The key thing here is that management is getting younger,” said Satoshi Kurihara, an analyst at Tokai Tokyo Research Institute. “They will have to execute the Switch’s growth plan, so in that sense this is a new start.”
