If you've ever been annoyed by Mimir and Atreus (as well as anyone else who happens to be there) telling you exactly how to solve puzzles in God of War Ragnarok, then there's a new PC mod for the game you'll want to try out.
The aptly-named Please Shut Up mod deletes around 1500 "pointless/patronizing" voice lines from the game, per the mod's creator Mophead. Naturally, Mophead doesn't specify exactly which lines have been removed, because, well, there are more than 1500 of them.
Mophead does, however, point to some of the most egregious offenders they've removed, including companions telling you to use the shield strike move, Mimir telling you you're on fire, and Atreus telling you how to solve various puzzles.
Mophead says that although they've already removed over 1500 voice lines from God of War Ragnarok, Please Shut Up is a "work in progress", and more lines will be deleted in future.
The modder also points out that puzzle solution dialogue often overlaps or coincides with story-related dialogue, so it's often hard to isolate the lines where Mimir or Atreus tell Kratos how to solve puzzles without removing critical narrative lines.
