Most of us have played a Steam game or two and we've perhaps even written our own review of the game. However, in the past several months, the process for leaving Steam reviews and how it has sometimes been used as a weapon against certain games has come under fire. Valve has been taking on aspects of its review process and in the latest salvo is now making comments to user reviews list as "hidden" by default.
Here's what that means: When players write a review, they will have to manually tick a box to "Allow Comments". Unless a reviewer "opts in", no comments to the review will be allowed. According to PCGamesN, this is probably part of the new privacy policy implemented by Valve recently.
The moral of this story is: If you want other players to comment on your reviews, make sure you tick the box!
