The new Silent Hill 2 remake from Bloober Team finally confirms that the series is set in Maine.
As broken down by Fandom, players have been trying to work out where the titular town is located since 1999. Original instruction manuals confirmed that Silent Hill takes place in New England, but there's never been outright confirmation in one of the games regarding which of the six states specifically Silent Hill can be found in.
Interestingly, the movie places Silent Hill in West Virginia.
