Star Wars Outlaws Sales Fall Behind Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Star Wars Outlaws finished in fourth place in the UK's September sales charts, falling behind The Crew 2, Space Marine 2, and EA Sports FC 25. This comes amidst reports that the game is selling poorly across the board, prompting an internal investigation at Ubisoft, who admits there have been "recent challenges" at the company.

This comes from figures reported by GamesIndustry.biz, who has shared the full UK games charts for September 2024. Here, it's revealed that Star Wars Outlaws is currently selling slower than fellow Ubisoft title Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora did when it launched in 2023.

It was previously reported that Star Wars Outlaws has shifted around one million copies in total, a figure which seemingly falls behind Ubisoft's estimations as it now appears to be taking drastic measures to recuperate. Part of this is the Guillemot family and Tencent reportedly considering a buyout of the company, rumours that it has now acknowledged, but has not confirmed to be the course of action it is taking.
