Spider-Man 2 Apparently Had Double Finishers

New footage of what Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the 2023 sequel to the original Marvel's Spider-Man, could have looked like has surfaced online.

As first spotted in the Spider-Man subreddit, it appears that "Double Finishers" were planned at some point before being scrapped altogether. The gameplay snippet, which lasts under 20 seconds, showcases Spider-Man using his webbing to throw one foe into another, as well as another kicking two enemies.

The gameplay element is clearly unfinished as there is a fair amount of jitter to it, but it does show an element that could've been. Still, it's slightly disappointing that it didn't make it to the final product. Double finishers would've undoubtedly given the combat a much-needed refresh.

When Spider-Man 2 launched, it wasn't necessarily a critical hit. That's not to say the game didn't play well or review well, because it did, but it was a rather safe sequel.
