The brand new studio Dreamhaven was previously in the news because it was launched by the previous president and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment, Mike Morhaime. But, with the latest reveal of the first game the company has been producing, Sunderfolk, it's clear that they aren’t all bark and no bite.
Sunderfolk is the first game from Secretdoor, one of Dreamhaven's two internal studios. It presents a unique take on tactical turn-based RPGs, with a greater focus on collaborative local co-op that can't be found elsewhere.
The focus on local co-op, where everyone uses their phones to interact with what is happening on screen, combines elements of turn-based RPGs, deck building, and board games to make a collaborative, almost DND-like experience we’re all suddenly eager to get our hands on.
