Larian Dev Calls Out Baldur's Gate 3 Collector's Edition Scalpers

Baldur's Gate 3's Collector's Edition scalping has gotten even worse, as resellers list the collection for thousands of pounds. In some cases, the game itself is not included, despite the inflated prices.

It's gotten so bad that the scalpers are being called out by Larian's director of publishing, Michael Douse. This comes after he found a listing for £2,900 (around $3,700 USD), with other eBay sellers trying to shift their copies for similar prices.

The Collector's Edition of Baldur's Gate 3 was available in a limited supply before the game's launch last year. Of course, the RPG went on to explode in popularity after its launch, so many who missed out are forced to go through resellers - who are far from reasonable with their prices.

This was an issue immediately after launch, but it only seems to have gotten worse one year later. Going through eBay now, listings are regularly in the thousands, even without a copy of the game and the DLC that was included at launch. The one that Douse spotted is still up to, and it remains to be seen if anyone caves in and forks over that much money for it.
