Multiverses are all the hype right now, and Square Enix seems eager to get a piece of the action.

The Japanese RPG virtuosos have revealed a new trailer for Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, and it looks like the new game will be all about jumping between dimensions.

In the newest chapter of the Life Is Strange franchise, Max Caulfield is all grown up, and her powers with time have evolved into interdimensional travel. Max can transfer her consciousness to a parallel universe where her murdered friend Safi is alive.

The mission sounds simple enough: find out what happened in that timeline that prevented the murder, and use that to save Safi in Max's original world. Saving a life is not as easy as it sounds though, as Max and her friends are about to find out the hard way.

This is the first real experience the developers at Deck Nine will have with the original cast introduced by Don't Nod in Life Is Strange. Coming out on October 29, Double Exposure honors the original feeling of the series but adds a twist by swapping simply bending time for interdimensional travel.
