Speaking to TheGamer at Tokyo Game Show, ahead of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves' release, series veteran Yasuyuki Oda shared details on how the collaboration came about.

The decision to allow the star character from the Fatal Fury series to join Super Smash Bros. was a no-brainer for the team at SNK. Detailing how he felt as the collaboration came together, Oda-san said, "I was extremely excited about it. You know, I mean, I couldn't help it, but I felt really happy and fond that something like that was going to happen."
