Destiny Mobile Game Announced In Partnertship With NetEase

Bungie and NetEase have officially announced Destiny: Rising, a mobile version of the popular RPG shooter. The game will be set in an alternate timeline, before the events of the two games, but will still play in a similar manner.

Seeing Bungie learn good lessons from Onslaught so quickly is a great sign for Destiny.

The initial announcement of the partnership was made a few years ago, but no other details were shared. We now have a pre-alpha footage gameplay trailer, which looks pretty much like regular Destiny. However, one major difference you can spot in the trailer is the option to play in third-person perspective mode.

"Destiny: Rising is set in an alternate timeline, many years before Destiny 1 & 2," says the Destiny: Rising website. This timeline allows for a different exploration of how humanity began to rise from the ashes of the Collapse, when invaders from beyond the stars brought an end to what was once a golden age."
