Helldivers 2 just rolled out Patch 01.001.104, which seeks to make the Automatons "less frustrating to play against", while also tweaking all of the remaining weapons and stratagems.
One of the biggest problems with the Automatons was their super human (robot?) sight, as they could see through walls and smoke effects, making it impossible to take cover or sneak around them. Thankfully, developer Arrowhead has fixed these issues.
Automaton projectile damage has also been decreased, Hulk Bruisers have reverted back to using rocket launchers, and tank armour has been reduced.
The balancing tweaks should also make facing the metal hordes that much less of a nightmare, as heavy armour now reduces damage taken by 25 percent, up from 20, while light armour now only increases damage taken by 25 percent, rather than 33.
