Nihon Falcom and NIS America have announced the Trails through Daybreak 2 release date, with the long-awaited JRPG set to arrive in the West in February.
Per a new release date trailer, Trails through Daybreak 2 launches on Valentine's Day in the West. It'll have some stiff competition, with the likes of Date Everything! and Assassin's Creed Shadows vying for your attention on that date as well.
As you'd expect, Trails through Daybreak 2 picks up where the original Trails through Daybreak left off. It once again follows the adventures of Van Arkride, a spriggan (think bounty hunter crossed with detective) who must investigate a series of murders.
Of course, although Trails through Daybreak 2 takes the form of a murder investigation in terms of its plot and setup, it's still offering exactly the kind of classic action-RPG combat you'd expect from a Daybreak game.
Two new systems, Cross Charge and EX Chains, have been introduced. Cross Charge lets you bring in a party member to deal damage if you manage to successfully pull off a perfect dodge, while EX Chains deal huge damage to stunned enemies once certain battle conditions have been met.
