Ubisoft's upcoming remake of the legendary action-adventure game Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is still on track for release in 2026, according to a graphic released by Ubisoft on social media.
There were no murmurings of a delay, but given the troubled development of the remake up to this point, fans always fear the worst. The graphic details the history of the Prince of Persia series, beginning with Prince of Persia in 1989 and ending with... you guessed it, the Sands of Time remake that's set to release in 2026.
Ubisoft Montreal released a teaser trailer earlier this year announcing the release date. The trailer depicts an extinguished candle that reignites in the window of a Persian city... you know, because of time travel. It's typical teaser trailer fare, but a blog post released by Ubisoft in conjunction with the trailer had some interesting tidbits.
