Atlus Bans Metaphor: ReFantazio Fans From Making Videos With Spoiler-Filled Thumbnails

Metaphor: ReFantazio has been out for almost a week now, but its status as an absolute chonker of a video game means that not everyone will have rolled credits just yet. In fact, you could probably bet that the majority of normal people haven't had enough time to get even halfway through the game, so many are still on lockdown to avoid potential spoilers.

Thankfully, Atlus is making it a little bit easier for players to traverse platforms like Twitch and YouTube to avoid having the game spoiled by a content creator with no regard for other people. Earlier today, Atlus announced via the Japanese Twitter account for Metaphor: ReFantazio (thanks GamesRadar) that it has updated its guidelines around video and streaming, banning players from uploading video to online platforms that have spoilers in the title or thumbnail.

Atlus notes that it has the ability to delete or suspend "videos or broadcasts that we deem inappropriate", so hopefully that's enough of a warning for people to watch what they're uploading.
