The developers behind Tekken 8 have issued an apology for the negatively received Year 1 DLC Pass and are offering a few bonuses to make it up to fans.
Following Tekken 8 since its launch has been an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. When it first released at the start of the year, it seemed that no one had a bad thing to say about it and there was nothing but love for the long-awaited eighth mainline entry. That quickly changed, though, as fans became annoyed about the introduction of a battle pass a few months into the game's lifespan.
I wasn’t sold on Heihachi coming back to Tekken so soon after his climatic ‘death’, but playing as him put those feelings to rest.
Things eventually started improving and getting more positively received but, just as Heihachi Mishima joined the game and it looked like Tekken 8 would be at its peak, the Steam reviews dropped right back down to negative due to the Genmaji Temple stage not being included in the DLC pass and having to be purchased for an extra $4.99.
