FBC Firebreak Will Be Available On Both Xbox Game Pass And PlayStation Plus Day One

Remedy surprised us at Thursday's Xbox Showcase with an unexpected reveal on top of the expected Alan Wake 2 DLC release date announcement. Turns out the studio has been working on its first-ever online multiplayer game too, FBC Firebreak. Clearly eager for as many people to play Firebreak as possible, the multiplayer shooter will be coming to both Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus on day one.

Since Firebreak was revealed during an Xbox Showcase, the trailer didn't make any mention of it coming to PS5. We might have Sea Of Thieves on PlayStation now, but the console war isn't over yet. A trailer shared after the Showcase confirmed that Firebreak will be available on PS5 and Steam, and a press release (thanks, Stephen Totilo) that accompanied it confirmed a day one arrival on the competing subscription services.

PlayStation revamped PS Plus in 2022 so that it more closely resembled Xbox's Game Pass model, although it still doesn't - and likely never will - offer up its first-party titles to subscribers on day one, even if you have Premium.
