Sonic X Shadow Generations Met With Mostly Positive Reviews

Reviews for Sonic X Shadow Generations are out now, and it's positive scores across the board. While more are still coming in, early scores are giving the game a 4/5 or above, with some even giving it a near-perfect score.

Right now, Sonic X Shadow Generations is sitting at a 79 on Metacritic. Most reviewers praise the addition of the new campaign, Shadow Generations, responding positively to Sonic Team's new direction after Sonic Frontiers.

In my review for TheGamer, I gave Sonic X Shadow Generations a 4/5. I praised Shadow's new levels, and the new abilities that separate him from Sonic. However, I hoped that Sega would instead focus on the future of the series, wishing that this was a full Shadow game, rather than a campaign added onto a remaster.

Matt Karoglou from Game Rant went higher, giving the game a 9/10. Praising the amount of content included in this release.
