Wizards of the Coast, Netflix, Octopie and the Russo Brothers have announced that a new animated series based on Magic: The Gathering is in the works. There is no release date, but the news should make a lot of folks very happy. It is the first time in the 25-year history of the game that M:tG will be on the big or small screen.
The series executive producers are Anthony and Joe Russo, most notably having recently produced both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Talent working to bring the series to life includes personnel that has created animated series including Star Wars: Rebels, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Spider-Man, Agent Carter, Firefly and many others.
