The New World: Aeternum developers confirmed that they're investigating crashing issues associated with the release of the game's most recent content update. This update introduced a limited-time Halloween-themed event into New World: Aeternum, known as Nightveil Hallow.

First released in September 2021 as a PC-exclusive MMORPG, Amazon Games' New World is set on the supernatural and fictional island of Aeternum. A new adventure for players begins when they're shipwrecked on the island and must fight, forage, and create weapons to survive and explore. Deadly weapons and supernatural powers may be equipped and strengthened, and players also have the option to team up with others for PvP battles. Despite the game's intriguing premise and fun combat system, New World has mixed reviews on Steam, with many reviews citing that more improvements need to be made regarding in-game performance and endgame content.
