Silent Hill 2 Remake Has a PS5-Exclusive Dog Ending

The Silent Hill 2 remake has received praise left and right since its release, and looks locked in to be one of the best releases in 2024.

This launch has turned the fortunes of developer studio Bloober Team around, as it prepares to embark on an original adventure with Cronos: The New Dawn.

Despite the fantastic end product with the Silent Hill 2 remake, the developers let a different version of the famous Dog Ending slip through the cracks when shipping the game out.

Mira, The Puppeteer

The Silent Hill series has a running gag involving the dog Mira, a Shiba Inu who has appeared in almost all titles. The original Silent Hill 2 was no exception.

After finding a room key in the Lakeview Hotel, James opens the door to find the imponent Mira, revealed to be the puppet master running the horrors happening in the game.

If you play the Silent Hill 2 remake today on the current version, you will find a similar scene. However, PlayStation 5 users playing from the disc running 1.00 version have access to a different, fantastic take on the dog ending.
