The enhanced re-release of indie platformer Yooka-Laylee, Yooka-Replaylee, will be out for consoles including, it's heavily hinted, the Nintendo Switch 2. Yooka-Replaylee is the planned remake / remaster of the 2017 indie title that revisited the glory days of 3D platformers like Banjo-Kazooey.
Developers Playtonic Games have officially confirmed that Yooka-Replaylee will be released on consoles, in addition to the originally planned PC. Both the website and the accompanying Playtonic YouTube video also heavily hint that the game will be out for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Although the news isn't stated outright, the trailer only says "Nintendo" with suspicious shifty eyes over it. The website is a bit more in-your-face about it, stating that "Yooka-Replaylee will be playable on PS5, Xbox Series consoles and… Nintendo? (Ooh mysterious. We’ll have more on that as soon as poss!)."
