Life Is Strange Creator Stands Up For Deck Nine Over Double Exposure Hate

The Life is Strange franchise is all about making the right choices and thinking about how your actions affect those around you. Unfortunately but also unsurprisingly, that message has been lost on many gamers.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure comes out on October 29, but owners of the Ultimate Edition have had access to it since the 15th.

Self-professed Life is Strange purists have taken this opportunity to fling hateful comments toward the Deck Nine development team, ostensibly over its handling of the series.

As the situation worsened, Don't Nod creator Michel Koch took to social media to defend his successors at Deck Nine.

Koch went on to say that it is fine to feel disappointed with the execution or a certain plot point, but that those unhappy with Life is Strange: Double Exposure should not see it as voiding their vision of the game.

Multiple players replied to Koch defending the wave of backlash, with one poster saying "they have butchered the characters."

The creator retorted that different writers inevitably lead to different outcomes, which also applies to well-received adaptations such as the comics or Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
